I recently learned about Kitty's story with the ALP Program and I am calling to urge UW Madison to provide all K-12 students enrolled in UW Programs with an active IEP to have direct access to the McBurney Disability Resource Center. UW Madison has clearly shown that restricting youth with disabilities from accessing these campus resources puts them at higher risk of facing mistreatment and discriminiation based on their disability, just like how UW Madison's ALP program treated Kitty.

I am urging you to do one of the following:

Everyone enrolled in UW Programs need equal access to disability resources. Allow families of K-12 children with disabilities to directly receive services from the McBurney Disability Resource Center.

OR

Dismantle these programs because without access to disability resources, your programs discriminate against people with disabilities.
